Turkish denim mill Orta offset 232,000 kg of CO2 equivalent in 2023 though a partnership with DHL’s GoGreen Climate Neutral Services.

The transport company calculates emissions and offsets them by investing in climate protection projects, based on the UN’s Clean Development Mechanism. These include reforestation in Uganda, a wind power plant in Nicaragua and a landfill power plant in Turkey.

Orta said: “We strive to reduce the denim industry’s footprint and are happy to support our business partners’ mission of creating a better future.”
