Pepe Jeans eyes expansion in US

Global sourcing and marketing company G-III Apparel has acquired a stake in Madrid-based global retail platform All We Wear Group, or AWWG, taking ownership of approximately 12%.
AWWG, formerly Pepe Jeans Group, owns three brands, Pepe Jeans London, Hackett, and Façonnable, and is master franchisee for PVH-owned Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein for Spain and Portugal. Its retail network includes 3,500 doors across 86 countries.
Under the partnership with G-III, AWWG will become the agent for DKNY, Donna Karan and Karl Lagerfeld in the Iberian Peninsula. Its strong presence in India is also expected to benefit some of the 30 brands owned or licensed by G-III.
This partnership not only affords G-III “an opportunity to invest in a company with iconic brands, but also represents a sizable international presence with a strong infrastructure and talented leadership team that will benefit our efforts to scale our European business,” said Morris Goldfarb, G-III chairman and CEO. “At the same time, we look forward to supporting AWWG's overall growth and advancement of their brands here in North America.”
