New goods for Old Blue Co.
Raw denim outpost in Indonesia, OldBlue Co. has kickstarted the new season with a fresh range of products in its General Store located in Jakarta. The brand founded and owned by Ahmad Hadiwijaya and Randy Wilmar has taken a deliberately anti-fashion stance by drawing its inspiration from vintage American workwear from the 1890s to 1950s.

While its denim fabrics are mainly imported from Japan and the US, manufacturing is done in Indonesia. Looking to develop the local denim market and culture, it has been working on a pilot project to produce its own Monsoon Selvedge fabrics on a Toyoda shuttle loom. The 16 oz denim is made from indigo rope-dyed yarns.
