New creative lead updates Filippa K classic
The first product designed by the Swedish brand’s new creative lead, Anna Teurnell, is one of the brand’s iconic stretch denims, the 90s Stacked Bootcut Jeans.

Anna Teurnell was appointed creative director of Filippa K earlier this year. She formerly held design positions at Marimekko, and several H&M-owned brands including &Other Stories and Arket. In 2021 she launched her own label, Teurn Studios, which she continues to run.

“The very first garment I owned from Filippa K was a pair of stretch jeans. I’ve always loved what they’ve stood for – comfort and ease. For my first piece, I wanted to pay homage to this heritage product while re-interpreting a signature silhouette for the modern wardrobe,” she commented.

Designed to create a stacked effect at the hem, hence its name, the exaggerated bootcut style is available in a mid-blue wash and was produced in a limited edition run of 300 pieces. It goes on sale on August 22 in Filippa K-owned stores and on its e-commerce site.
