Positive beginning for Textiles Recycling Expo

17/06/2025
The first edition of a new trade show addressing circular solutions for the apparel industry has made a successful debut, said organiser AMI, a Bristol-based company that specialises in trade events on recycling, notably in plastics. Held on June 4 and 5 in Brussels, the inaugural edition attracted 3,336 visitors from 67 countries, with 126 companies exhibiting. The conference programme was also dense, with some 50 expert speakers giving talks on regulations, technologies, recycling projects and practical ways to increase waste recovery rates.

Attendees came from all corners of the recycling supply chain, from waste management organisations to recyclers and from manufacturers to brands and retailers. The organisers said representatives from Aldi, Burberry, C&A, Chanel, Decathlon, Diesel, Gucci, H&M, Hermes, Ikea, Lidl, M&S, Nike, Oxfam, Patagonia, Primark, Puma, Tommy Hilfiger, Uniqlo and Zara walked the show floor.

AMI has launched a US-based edition of the event, which will be held in Charlotte, North Carolina, on April 29 and 30, 2026. The dates for the 2026 European edition have been set for June 24 and 25, in Brussels.
