David Ramsey, speaking as part of Kingpins24, said: “We call it an intelligent fabric because as it expands it knows how much tension is on the fabric, so it can give extra support where it’s required. So it gives a perfect fit around the leg but also gives shaping around the body.”

The mill is also launching a concept called Iconic Touch, which has a soft and luxurious hand feel, created using fibres such as Tencel.

Mr Ramsey also highlighted Circulose by Renewcell (which uses used jeans as one of its raw materials) and hemp among fibres it is including in its ranges.
