Innovations from Calik feature in new Good American collection

Turkish denim manufacturer Calik has announced a new project with Los Angeles-based clothing brand Good American.
For a new collection called Always Fits, Calik developed technology called Selfsized. The manufacturer says Selfsized fabric has high levels of elasticity and softness and a “cotton touch” on the inside for comfort.
Use of the fabric will help brands put together collections with fewer sizes, Calik has said, because a pair of jeans made with Selfsized will fit a more varied range of wearers.
Always Fits also features Calik’s Denethic technology, an innovation the Turkish company developed in 2020 to make it possible for consumers to wash their jeans using less water and less energy.
