Outland Denim supports flood-hit communities

The Australian denim community is taking steps to support those affected by deadly flooding across areas of Queensland and New South Wales, which has resulted in the evacuation of tens of thousands of Sydney residents, alone, in recent days.

South-east Queensland-based brand Outland Denim, for one, has announced its partnership with local fashion industry unifying initiative #WeWearAustralian as well as Thread Together, a non-profit headquartered in New South Wales which works to supply Australia’s vulnerable communities with donated clothing.

Outland is currently working in tandem with both organisations to donate product which will then be shared with people living in flood-affected areas, it said.

The company also directed its social media followers to other local initiatives such as Foodbank Australia and Givit, both of whom are requesting donations to support those in need.
