Lenzing showcases ‘feel good’ denim wardrobe
The simple things in life, all the little things that can brighten a day. These are the notions that inspired “Simple Pleasures” Lenzing’s sustainable denim wardrobe collaboration for 2022. The experimental and collaborative capsule collection allows the Austrian producer to showcase its Tencel lyocell yarns in denims.

With its Sustainable Denim Wardrobe collections, Lenzing says it seeks to foster collaboration within the denim community, and stresses that working collectively makes it possible to accomplish what no individual or company can do alone.

This 2022 edition features fabrics made by Bossa Denim, Cone Denim, Kaihara, Orta Anadolu and Prosperity. Other partners include House of U, a digital printer, Denim Moda, a garment maker, sewing thread supplier Coats, trims maker Jawaid Bross and laundry technology company Jeanologia. Brazilian print designer Betina Martins created the collection’s key print.

Michael Kininmonth, denim project leader for the Lenzing Group said that the collection’s concept was inspired in part by “Joyful: The Surprising Power of Ordinary Things to Create Extraordinary Happiness,” a book by Ingrid Fetell Lee. “She explores how the seemingly mundane spaces and objects we interact with every day have surprising and powerful effects on our mood. This reflects exactly the message and emotions we wanted to communicate through this collection.”
