Lenzing announces CFO replacement

Further to two recent denim appointments following the departure of Tricia Carey to Renewcell, Austria-based manmade cellulosic fibre manufacturer Lenzing has named Nico Reiner to the role of chief financial officer (CFO), effective January 1.
Dr Reiner will succeed Thomas Obendrauf, who previously spent seven years at the firm before leaving to pursue a career change in June. Chief executive Stephan Sielaff will continue to assume CFO responsibilities until the appointee’s official start date.
Chairman of the supervisory board Cord Prinzhorn described Dr Reiner as “a proven financial expert” and praised his “substantial international experience”. On joining Lenzing in the new year, the new CFO will be instrumental to achieving its 2027 financial targets, Mr Prinzhorn added.
Since obtaining his doctorate from the HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management in 2000, Dr Reiner has held several CFO positions at various German companies, including Vacuumschmelze, Pfleiderer Group, AL-KO Kober and Schüco International.
