New denim appointments at Lenzing

Austrian manmade cellulosic fibre manufacturer Lenzing has named Tuncay Kilickan Head of Business Development Denim and Daren Abney Director of Business Development, Americas. They are taking two positions formerly held by Tricia Carey within the group. On November 1st, Ms Carey will be taking on a new position at Renewcell, a Swedish company developing Circulose, a pulp made from used cotton-rich textiles.

Working in the denim industry for more than 15 years, Tuncay Kiliçkan has solid experience working with European brands and technical fabric development knowledge from his former position within Isko’s product development and R&D division.

Daren Abney joined Lenzing Fibers Inc. in January 2021 as Senior Business Development Manager, where he was in charge of coordinating with North American denim brands and their suppliers. Prior to Lenzing, Mr Abney was Senior Membership Manager at the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) and Global Membership Manager at Textile Exchange.
