Current booking for the July fabric trade shows in Munich is close to 90% said Munich Fabric Start Exhibitions, which attributes the high turn-out to the earlier dates.
The move is motivated by changing buying patterns, and the need for flexibility, reads the statement from Munich Fabric Start. But it may make life difficult for the denim industry as it could overlap with Kingpins’ NYC show. The rival denim show has not yet officially announced the dates for its events beyond Kingpins Amsterdam next week (April 12 & 13). Last year its summer NYC edition took place in the third week of July.
For those companies still looking to exhibit their products in September, Munich Fabric Start is creating a new event, reView, which will take place on September 13 & 14 at the Zenith grounds in Motorworld, a 2,500 square-meter space that is said to be spectacular.
