Bluezone under way Munich
Denim trade show Bluezone, part of the wider Munich Fabric Start fabric fair, had a successful start, according to organisers.
Exhibitors include Soko Chimica, Prosperity x Stella Blu, Orta, Bossa, Calik Denim, Denim Authority, DNM, Evlox, Isko, MTV Belts, Naveena Denim NDL, Sashikodenim by Pey, Sharabati Denim and Tejidos Royo.
Visitors can find out about the design direction in the Trend Zone, curated by Tilmann Wröbel.
During the show, denim designer specialist Paolo Gnutti is presenting his Isko Luxury by PG Born To Amaze SS-2025. Four new capsules in the collection are:
• Aurum Denim: black, indigo and ecru mix with a gold thread. Lightweight fabrics will also be available in this collection very soon.
• ChArmy: inspired by Vintage military. Sulfur cloth dyed colors are used to recreate natural vintage shades
• Blob trotters: “elite but street-wear friendly”, this fabric features gold, sparkling, and opulence
• Glamour Rock: black with grey shades create high and low effects.
Mr Gnutti said: "Working on this new collection allowed me to immerse myself in my historical archives made of craftsmanship, luxury and savoir-faire. I let myself be carried away by these incredible images from the past in order to revisit them and give them a modern look and uniqueness while trying not to lose their historical value.”
Isko is also presenting a wider collection, with its full SS25 collection entirely made with Ctrl+Z (recycled polyester, recycled cotton, regenerated cellulose as well as regenerative cotton). Beyond denim, Isko has been working on a fabric category featuring recycled polyester and FSC viscose.
Sebastian Klinder, managing director of Munich Fabric Start, said: “Clarity is the order of the day for the industry, and the first day of the show reaffirms this. Everything revolves around orientation, structure and tidiness. There is no room for creative chaos, but only for a clear goal, a clear strategy. And that's exactly what we want here.”
The Inside Denim team is at the show and will be reporting on new fabrics and developments online and in the magazine. Say hello to Sophie and Rupert if you are there!
