Recycled cotton producer Recover has added Hans Ploos van Amstel to its board.

Mr van Amstel previously worked as chief financial officer at Levi’s, and held roles at Partners Group and Adecco. 

He was also previously co-chief executive officer of C&A.

Olof Persson, chairman of Recover and former CEO of the Volvo Group, said: "His extensive global experience, financial acumen and strategic vision will be invaluable assets as we continue our mission to revolutionise the textile industry through sustainable innovation."

His appointment follows the company’s recent appointment of Anders Sjoblom as chief executive officer and Matthew Neville as chief commercial officer.
