Everdye welcomes new CEO

French cleantech start-up Everydye has announced the departure of its former CEO and co-founder Ilan Palacci, and the arrival of Philippe Berlan as chief executive of the company founded in Paris in 2021.

Mr Berlan has held the same position at La Redoute, a fashion retailer, Lancel, a leather goods company, and Petit Bateau, a knitwear maker. “I'm excited to join Everdye at such a pivotal moment. The impact of textile dyeing on the environment is significant, and I know Everdye's solutions are a concrete response to this challenge. Together, we can set new standards for sustainability in textiles worldwide,” he stated.

The start-up won the ANDAM innovation prize in 2022 for its non-petrochemical dyeing process that it said is a drop-in solution for dyehouses. It has developed a special bio-sourced polymer binding agent that attachs pigments to textiles without requiring heat, it said. A special pre-treatment operation is said to give a negative charge on the fibre to anchor its positively charged colourants.
