Denim Deal teases kick-off in France

A new Denim Deal consortium in France will be officially launched at the end of the month, during an event to be held at the Dutch Embassy in Paris.

COSE361, a sustainability consultancy, will be the organisation’s lead in the country, and will provide support and guidance to French denim brands seeking to make post-consumer recycled content an industry standard.

France has a ten-year head start in applying extended producer responsibility and eco-modulation fees. These are collected by Refashion (formerly known as Eco-TLC) to fund collecting, sorting and recycling of used clothing.
