ARMEDANGELS ushers in SaXcell
In its Spring collection, German eco-brand ARMEDANGELS is featuring the very first jeans made from SaXcell, a lyocell derived from textile waste. The development of this fibre was initiated by a research team at the Saxion University of Applied Science in Enschede, Netherlands, where a pilot plan is now in the works.

The next-gen fibre was woven into a denim fabric by Bossa, in Turkey. It is composed of 57% organic cotton and 43% SaXcell lyocell. The ‘recycled’ lyocell is itself made from a blend of 70% FSC-certified wood pulp with 30% RCS-certified pre- and post-consumer cotton waste pulp.
