Lycra gears up for product launch at Kingpins

Fibre provider The Lycra Company will present a fresh product for the denim sector at Kingpins Amsterdam, October 15 – 16.

Launching commercially in 2026, VintageFX enables low-stretch denim and woven garments to move freely while promoting a vintage aesthetic. The dual-core technology - combining Lycra fibre with VintageFX fibre, surrounded by cotton - delivers controlled stretch, reduced seam slippage, better drape, less weight and reduced bag and sag, says Lycra.

The company will also showcase more samples featuring bio-derived Lycra EcoMade fibre, which is composed of 70% annually renewable plant-based resources, offering raw material origin transparency and reduced environmental impact. Launching at commercial scale later this year, this is a one-to-one replacement for original Lycra fibre.

Lycra has also teamed up with its Pakistan-based distributor, iTextiles, and denim manufacturer Neela for B-logic (pictured), a collection containing Circulose and designed by Gordon Muir of Labor Made Inc. The collaborators will discuss the collection on October 15 at 2pm in the Jeanius Hub.
