PV Denim readies for next edition
Denim Première Vision will be opening its doors at the Superstudio Più in Milan on November 26 & 27, 2025, in two weeks' time. The number of exhibitors is similar to last season’s. More than 65 companies will showcase their SS27 collections, covering all stages of the value chain, from weavers (60% of exhibitors), to garment makers (20%), trim suppliers (6%), and chemicals companies (5%).
Among the new exhibitors, Fabio Adami Dalla Val, head of the GL Events show, mentioned that new companies from China and Vietnam will be joining, as well as some key Portuguese suppliers, such as Pizarro and IVN Industria. Newcomers to the industry have also chosen to introduce their novel solutions at Denim Première Vision. Xlance, which launched its innovative stretch fibre at PV Denim last May, is back, and Chloris, a biotech dyestuff maker, will have a special booth for its first presence at the show. The Japanese contingent remains of equal size, he told Inside Denim, with some ten mills making the trip to the Italian fashion capital.
Trends and more
For this edition, the organisers have asked Kristian Guerra, Head Designer at 44 Level Group, to oversee the trend forum. “Kristian Guerra has worked with the Denim Première Vision fashion team, and our exhibitors, and he has created a series of silhouettes to show how they can be used. This will give the trend section a more experimental edge,” said the head of Denim Première Vision.
Mr Adami Dalla Val is particularly proud of the upcoming Fashion District section. “It will provide a showcase for 23 designers and brands, up from a dozen. Some will be exhibiting products made from the SS 2027 collections that will be on display on the booths of mills. This makes it a unique showroom-within-in-a-show offering our visitors a second space to experience fashion-forward trends.” Highlights here include Adriano Goldschmeid’s Daily Blue range, with fabrics made from Pioneer Denim’s new wool blend denims. Kering’s Material Innovation Lab (MIL) will also be a part of the Fashion District, presenting both the latest S|Style - Denim Lab creations along with eight brand partners of the luxury brand’s innovation lab.
Conference programme
Première Vision’s Julieta Mercerat will be presenting the denim forecast with Amy Leverton of Denim Dudes. Kristian Guerra will also be hosting a talk on trends.
Key panel talks include “From Legends to Legacy” with Maurizio Donadi, Adriano Goldschmeid, Massimo Berloni and Manuela Mariotti of DondUp.
Two panel talks focusing on materials and innovation are scheduled. One will discuss the evolution of dyeing with Officina39, Chloris and Emily Gubbay, and the other future fibres & fabrics with Isko, Xlance and Hyosung.
A business-friendly focus
“We intend to create a business-friendly environment, but will also host a party on the evening of the first day, sponsored by Pioneer Denim, where the Denim Première Vision communities can connect and chill,” said Mr Adami della Val.
For each show, he pulls out his calculator to assess the production capacity of the mills that exhibit at the show. Though he hadn’t yet tallied the count for the upcoming edition, he said that in previous editions, they represent some 1 billion metres per year. “One estimate of the global yearly market for denim fabrics is 3 billion metres, within that, I believe we cover the mid and high market segments,” he noted.
This show’s dates unfortunately coincide with Thanksgiving, which may have an impact on visitor attendance from the United States, compounding other headwinds due to macro-economic factors.
