Turkish denim manufacturer Calik has announced a new, in-house transparency monitoring system, through which it will seek to measure its use of resources and use the data to help it lower its environmental impact.

Calik said a focus on measurable targets throughout its production process would help it bring its use of water, energy and chemicals down.

It said it wanted to be a responsible fashion supplier and that applying thought to its production, as well as “passion for the planet”, were important elements of this.
