Using Garmon’s Smart Foam system, the chemicals are added to the machines via dispensers and are then distributed onto the jeans inside the machine.
As well as reducing water, this also means they can wash up to 100 garments, rather than the 30 they previously did with existing technology, per batch.
Junaid Mushtaq, brand manager at Kassim, said: “We previously found we couldn’t get the consistency but now we have higher productivity, combined with adding no extra water.
“We are trying our best to save as much water as possible.”
