AGI invests in factory of the future

Pakistan based global denim supplier AGI has added a new denim fabric mill to its LEED Gold-certified Industrial Park. In 2021, the company set up a new spinning facility with a production capacity of 60,000 kg of yarn daily. This year, a new ‘state-of-the-art’ weaving mill has begun operations. It’s 300 high-tech looms bring the company’s annual production capacity to 50 million metres a year. They feature reduced energy consumption and optimised output.
As part of its drive towards industry 4.0, AGI has also installed latest generation G2 Ozone and laser machines from Jeanologia. Its four new laser machines are said to be 20-30% faster than other laser-finishing machines, feature upgraded software and are more compact in size, the company says. This brings the total count of laser machines at AGI to 36 units.
