Trippin’Blue spotlights Latin American scene
The latest edition of digital denim gathering Trippin’Blue, organised by Buenos Aires-based consultant and educator Ana Paula Alves, will run from April 27 through 29.

With a focus on the Latin American market, the event will take three key theme - denim innovation, sustainability and business - one by one over the three-day period.

Participants in day one will find an emphasis on fibres, biomaterials, research and development, mills and trend talks by a line-up which encompasses denim manufacturers Tejidos Royo, Vicunha and Nuevo Mundo, fibre producer The Lycra Company, biotechnology firm Pili and Ms Alves’ own consultancy, Be Disobedient.

Day two’s expressly sustainability-minded roster features technology providers Tonello and Jeanologia, designer Adriano Goldschmied, brand Mud Jeans, Lenzing’s wood-based cellulosic fibre Tencel (via Tricia Carey) and mill The New Denim Project. Circular-economy solutions and “new systems” will all be placed under the microscope.

On the final day, the conversation will be dominated by speakers’ views on new retail, the metaverse and the "future of denim" via input from trend forecaster WGSN, brand Outland Denim, textile chemicals group Archroma, mill Global Denim and “zero-waste” design specialists Decode, plus a panel made up of leaders from trade shows Kingpins, Denimandjeans, Denim Première Vision and Denim Days.

Attendance is free, although spaces are limited. Register here
