Some 100 suppliers to the denim industry, including mills, manufacturers, laundries and suppliers from all over the world will be exhibiting their latest collections, the organisers say.
The trend forum will be set up in a ‘campus’ environment outfitted with iconic and inspiring props including a yellow bus, basketball court, a library and a ‘Blue Park’.
A comprehensive programme of talks and conferences is scheduled during the event, including the first Inside Denim panel talk which will take a look at the evolution of elasticity in denim (Wednesday, August 31 at 2 pm). The Transformers Foundation, a new partner for Bluezone, has two conferences planned, on energy on the first day, and ethical purchasing practices on the second day of the show.
A series of Bluezone specific seminars (in hall 7) is another new feature for this edition. Highlights of the programme include a panel talk seeking to debunk some of the sustainability assumptions in the industry (Real or not real? August 30 at 2 pm), trend insights into a changing society (August 30 at 3 pm), and a women in denim event at 6 pm, also on the first day.
