NDL ushers in N-Tech workwear division

The work-ready denims made by NDL feature Dyneema, a high modulus polyethylene yarn known for its high strength and light weight made by Dutch conglomerate DSM.
“We want to bring newness to workwear,” Rashid Iqbal, NDL executive director told Inside Denim. “The entire collection is made of functional denims perfectly encapsulating the notion of performance meets fashion.”
“Using Dyneema can contribute to lighten a product’s footprint,” said Vincent Chua, in charge of development for Dyneema in Asia. “Its durability makes products last longer, it is less energy intensive to produce compared to nylon, and it is now also 100% biobased, backed by a certified biomass balance system.”
To highlight the possibilities of N-Tech fabrics, UK-based design studio Endrime created a ‘Strength n’ Style’ denim workwear collection that is currently on display at Bluezone in Munich. The design pieces draw on 1920s heritage workwear along with Endrime’s signature future thinking, modern ergonomics and dart manipulation.
