Levi’s opens its biggest store in Southeast Asia

US denim and casualwear brand Levi’s has reopened the doors to its Singapore flagship, now its largest store in Southeast Asia after construction to expand its footprint from 90 square-metres to roughly 315 square-metres completed.

Located inside the city state’s Ion Orchard retail complex, the space is also the first among Levi’s 24 stores in Singapore to offer the brand’s on-site Tailor Shop service, which caters to various customisation needs, including hemming and personalised embroidery.

The flagship also stocks the full Levi’s range as part of plans to provide an “elevated brand experience”, as managing director and senior vice-president of the company’s East Asia Pacific business, Nuholt Huisamen, put it.

Himself based in Singapore since relocating from Cape Town with Levi’s three years ago, Mr Huisamen described the country as a key market. However, before the brand was bought back from Singaporean distributor Jay Gee Group in 2019, Levi’s had not had full control over its local retail operations since 1964.
