Japan collab foregrounds mud and natural indigo
A natural dye-inspired collaboration between Los Angeles-born retail brand Ron Herman and Japanese menswear label Visvim has resulted in an eight-piece capsule made up of denim jeans, footwear, parka jackets, tops and caps in different colourways.
The collection notably hinges on natural indigo dyes and traditional Japanese mud-dyeing techniques.
Available to buy from February 25, participating Ron Herman stores in Tokyo’s Sendagaya, Futako-Tamagawa and Roppongi neighbourhoods, as well as in the central Japanese city of Kobe, will stage in-shop exhibitions to mark the occasion of the capsule’s release. Each show will dive deeper into the production process and run until March 3.
Ron Herman has been fully owned by Tokyo-headquartered Sazaby League since 2019.
