Yoke brings in denim made with Spiber’s Brewed Protein

Japanese contemporary fashion label Yoke’s spring-summer 2024 collection features eight pieces constructed from fabrics containing Spiber’s Brewed Protein fibres, including a denim trucker jacket and pair of jeans.
Each comprises 96% cotton and 4% Brewed Protein. Other articles made with Spiber’s plant-derived, fermented biomass, including a sweater, a cardigan, a sweatshirt a t-shirt and a long-sleeved top.
Domestic apparel group Goldwin became the first to incorporate the material in denims earlier this year, after its experimental Goldwin 0 line debuted jeanswear containing Brewed Protein.
