North Carolinian denim mill Cone has confirmed that its second quarterly audit, verified by long-term traceability collaborator Oritain, detected “zero fibre or restricted growth areas” at its production facilities in either China or Mexico.

Oritain, a University of Otago spin-out founded in 2008, has been working with Cone Denim since 2020.

The manufacturer became the first-ever North American denim supplier to join Swedish dissolving cellulose pulpmaker Renewcell’s Circulose Supplier Network earlier this month.
