Cone hires technical director and shares Oritain results
 
                        US denim mill Cone Denim has shared Oritain confirmed zero fibre from restricted growth areas in its Mexico and China facilities, proving all cotton used in 2023 was responsibly sourced.
It said: “Our commitment to sustainable practices defines who we are. In 2020, we were the first denim mill globally to adopt the highest level of end-to-end traceability possible through our partnership with Oritain.”
It also announced a new appointment: Mike Daniel as its director of technical services.
Mike most recently worked at Tavex Corporation where he served as director of sales and marketing for 11 years and five years as product development and quality director. Before Tavex, he held production and quality positions at Denim North America and Swift Denim.
At Cone Denim, he will lead the technical services team and oversee product quality.
