Saitex publishes 2022 impact report

Denim manufacturer Saitex, whose global supply ecosystem encompasses Saitex Garment, Saitex Mill, Stelapop, Rekut and Atelier & Repairs, has issued its impact report for last year.
A key highlight from 2022, the company said, was Vietnamese denim brand and producer Rekut’s work to make fabrics and jeanswear for US fashion business Madewell and Swedish retailer Ikea with the help of differently abled workers.
Others included the roll-out of Ecochain life-cycle assessment-inspired product ‘nutritional’ labels, achieving international certifying body B Corporation's Best for the World in Environment status, plus a Saitex Vietnam factory’s attainment of 96/100 following a Higg FEM audit.
The supplier already relies on “smart” technologies like Industry 4.0 and speed to market (STM).
It also pursues eco-labelling approval from the likes of Bluesign, Oeko-Tex, Regenagri, GOTS, GRS and Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute as standard.
