Artistic Milliners publishes ESG report
Pakistan-based denim mill and manufacturer Artistic Milliners has published its environmental and social governance (ESG) report for 2023, in which it outlines progress and targets.

In 2022 it set up an ESG committee to help steer its commitments, which include achieving 100% zero liquid discharge by 2027 and becoming a net zero company by 2040.

The company’s Artistic Energy unit operates two wind farms, which power 145,000 households. In 2023, the company supplied 1.2 billion watt-hours of wind-generated power to the national grid.

Milliner Organic Cotton now encompasses 1,800 farmers and 10,000 acres.

Chairman Yaqoob Ahmed said: “We are focused on turning our commitments into innovative solutions to build a sustainable supply chain with fair wages and transparent sourcing.”

Artistic Milliners employs 4,500. It produced 144 million metres of fabric in 2022 and 36 million garments. In 2023, it opened a fully automated spinning mill and expanded production to Mexico and Central America.
