Kontoor executives move up the ladder

A series of promotions at US apparel group Kontoor Brands has led to the appointment of Tom Waldron as chief operating officer, supported by Enzio Garciamendez as executive vice-president and chief supply chain officer, plus Jenni Broyles in the role of executive vice-president and global brands president for flagship denim brands Lee and Wrangler.
Mr Waldron previously served as executive vice-president, co-chief operating officer and global Wrangler brand president, a position he held for almost five years.
Effective March 19, Mr Garciamendez and Ms Broyles will report to him directly as members of the company’s executive leadership team.
The former joined Kontoor in 2022 as senior vice-president, chief supply chain officer, whereas Ms Broyles has been a member of the team since 2005. She most recently held the position of senior vice-president and Wrangler general manager for North America.
Kontoor Brands president, chief executive and chairman, Scott Baxter, attributed the switch-up to strategic plans associated with Project Jeanius, fuelled by the broader business decision “to simplify our organisation and increase speed and efficiency”.
Former executive vice-president, co-chief operating officer and global Lee brand president, Christopher Waldeck, will leave the group at the end of June.
