Change of ownership for True Religion
The iconic west coast brand is moving on to a new series of owners, as private investment firm Acon, with SB360 Capital Partners, has announced the acquisition of True Religion. SB360 Capital Partners, a retailer solutions company owned by the Schottenstein family, is a shareholder of American Eagle Outfitters. Details of the transaction were not disclosed.

The denim label had filed for bankruptcy twice in the past few years and was owned in 2024 by hedge fund Farmstead Capital Management.

True Religion CEO and significant minority shareholder Michael Buckley commented: “Our partnership with Acon and SB360 represents an exciting new chapter for True Religion. With their expertise and resources, we are poised to enhance our digital and retail capabilities, accelerate our international growth and continue innovating our apparel offering.”
