Walter Van Beirendonck's future-proof collection for G-Star

“In recent years, sadly, I haven’t been using [denim] so much for my own label. Jeans are a complicated and costly product to develop as an independent designer, and I thought it would be a fantastic idea to team up with G-Star to do this. It was a golden opportunity. A challenge,” said the avant-garde designer who was part of the famed Antwerp Six.
Like all of his collections, Mr Van Beirendonck has called the range ‘Denim with Balls’, which is to be taken literally, as three-dimensional, round shapes are literally punched or knitted into the fabrics, and figuratively.
