Mango commits to new Circulose licensing model
Spanish fashion retailer Mango has signed up to be the first official ‘scaling partner’ of a new business model implemented by Circulose. The Swedish company, formerly known as Renewcell, has set up a licensing programme for brands that desire to use the manmade cellulose fibre made from textile waste.

This licensing programme is designed to reduce ‘pricing friction’ and encourage wider-scale adoption of Circulose as opposed to limited capsule collections. The license is based on an “innovative pricing model” and covers various additional services to assist brands in transition planning, supply chain orchestration and traceability. It was created with support from both Fashion for Good and Canopy, two organisations seeking to promote the use of next-gen materials in the fashion industry.

“This collaboration marks a significant step on our sustainability roadmap as we strive to exclusively use fibres with lower environmental impact by 2030 and reflects our commitment to fostering a more circular and responsible fashion ecosystem, where innovation and environmental stewardship go hand in hand,” commented Mango’s sustainability and sourcing manager Andrés Fernández.
