Soorty: Seasonal collections are outdated
Pakistan-based mill and manufacturer Soorty has declared the seasonal calendar “outdated and no longer relatable” as it launches its second seasonless collection of fabrics and garments.

It describes the Connect to Adapt series as an inclusive approach to denim and jeans as it is also  genderless and sustainable.

It is split into: Resync (wasteless, high performance), Refine (authentic looks) and Redream.

Redream includes various blends and compositions, with options for loungewear, raw denims and vintage, as well as Cradle to Cradle-certified offerings.

Soorty owns a waste recycling plant that reuses 40% of the cutting table waste, sending it back to spinning. It imports garments from the US and Canada that were targeted to end up in landfill. It recently increased its recycling unit’s shredding capacity to 300 ton/month.

Soorty said: “As designers, we need to be adaptable, so do the fabrics and garments we design. As engineers, we need to reshape our systems and products. We need to define a new value chain, one that is transparent, inclusive and connected.”
