Siddiqsons aims to stand out with new concept

Pakistan-based group Siddiqsons has unveiled a new strategy, True, which focuses on “transparency, responsibility, universality and equality”.
Speaking as part of Kingpins24 Flash Australia, sales director Stefaan Benoit Williams said: “Aesthetics, quality and speed to market have always been paramount, but today they are not the only targets in the business. The denim industry is being scrutinised more and more. Sustainability is more about how we incorporate metrics in every step of the supply chain."
Of his new role, he added: “I have known the group for many years. When I learned about the ‘True by Siddiqsons’ vision, I got excited. The company wants to stand out, invest in sustainability and is eager to contribute towards transforming the denim landscape into a better place. Now the industry is embracing transparency, and Siddiqsons wants to be valuable partner."
Around 20% of the denim business’ energy is from renewable resources, and its 5.0 Jeanologia laundry contains all the technology company’s machines. It recycles 100% of its water, with zero discharge and zero pollution, it claims.
By September, it will have scaled up its garment making facility to produce 750,000 pieces per month.
Siddiqsons was launched in 1959, setting up a spinning and denim fabric making facility in the 1980s. In recent years, the group has branched into the real estate, construction and energy sectors.
