New jacquard denim from Louis Vuitton
LVMH-owned luxury brand Louis Vuitton recently released a new take on denim with a monogrammed jacquard range which encompasses handbags, wallets, apparel, footwear and even hair accessories.
The predominantly indigo range, which also features some pink-hued articles, has been fashioned to have a stonewashed effect.
According to reports, denim versions of several of the brand’s established bag styles, such as the Petit Noe, Dauphine Mini and Petite Malle, will only be available in China this time around.
Commentators have been quick to note how the collection harks back to the trending Y2K aesthetic to some extent. Louis Vuitton monogrammed denim accessories, such as spring-summer 2005’s Pleaty handbag (made in both pink and blue versions), remain popular on today’s second-hand market, for example.
