Denimsandjeans readies for Tokyo show

Event organiser Denimsandjeans will host its first Japanese edition at Tokyo’s Sunshine City between November 1 and 2.
The show was originally scheduled to take place during March 2020. Owing to local efforts to prevent the spread of covid-19, however, the event was postponed.
This time around, the theme is ‘Raw and Right’, a nod to both denim’s original (ie, “raw”) composition and the “right” way to sustainably make the fabric. The idea of rawness also “in some way signifies that denim needs to remain connected to nature”, Denimsandjeans said.
November’s event is so far set to feature exhibitors from Japan, China, South Korea, Italy, Pakistan, Turkey, Singapore, Switzerland, India, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Vietnam, the Netherlands and the United States.
Confirmed local Japanese attendees include Collect (Japan Blue Co), Hap Co, Ideablue (Amhot), JDS, KTC (Kameda), Nihon Menpu, SAAB, Snayo-Senko, Shinohara Textile, Showa and Whoval.
