Clothing brands join ‘volunteer coalition’
San Francisco-based clothing brands Levi Strauss & Co and Gap have announced that they will join forces with finance firms JP Morgan, Visa and Wells Fargo to set up a “volunteer coalition” in the city.
They have started cross-company volunteer events “to support cleaner and more vibrant streets” in the downtown area of the city.
Volunteers from the five companies have begun taking part in “park beautification activities” and neighbourhood litter projects across central parts of San Francisco. They have also organised street festivals.
The initiative began at the start of May.
