Levi Strauss & Co has unveiled Beneath the Bay, the largest so far in a series of 25 murals it has commissioned to celebrate San Francisco, located across the street from its headquarters.

Painted by Daniel Pan, Antoine Marnata and other members of 1AM Projects, with support from the Port of San Francisco, it celebrates the diverse communities, history and natural beauty of the San Francisco Bay. 

Daniel Pan of 1AM Projects said: “We wanted to pay homage to San Francisco’s deep maritime connection and the marine life, pop culture and heritage that has defined this area for decades.”

Alexis Bechtol, director of community affairs at LS&Co, added: “We’re not just beautifying spaces, we’re investing in the cultural heartbeat of our city.”
