Dondup adds weight to Bluesign’s Denim Initiative

Italian fashion brand Dondup has become the latest bluesign system partner network, as the Swiss company expands its denim focused offering.
The company offers a “solutions system focused on sustainable chemistry” working with supply chain partners to verifiy chemical inventories, following safety and sustainability standards.
The Denim Initiative, launched in March 2023, includes brands and manufacturers such as Everlane, Reformation, PureDenim, Saitex, Advance Denim and ISKO.
Matteo Anchisi, CEO of Dondup, said: “By partnering with Bluesign, we are advancing our mission to minimise environmental impact and uphold the highest safety and responsibility standards in our supply chain. This collaboration allows us to produce stylish, environmentally conscious and socially responsible premium denim.”
Founded in 1999 in Fossombrone, Italy, Dondup produces 100% Made in Italy clothing for men and women. Since 2021, the majority of the company's shares have been held by Made in Italy Fund, a private equity fund managed by Quadrivio & Pambianco.
