The Stoner makes a comeback
In a nod to the 1970s Californian climbing scene that was a launchpad for Patagonia, a limited edition run of vintage Levi’s jeans redesigned by Satisfy Running founder and creative director Brice Partouche was launched this week. Before founding the cult running brand, the Frenchman was the man behind cult denim brand April 77. “This project was especially close to my heart, as my career began 25 years ago as a second-generation jeans maker,” he posted on LinkedIn.

The Stoner jeans released this week feature climbing-requisite details such as Dyneema-reinforced patches at the knees, crotch and back pocket.

The capsule includes a cotton/Cordura blend T-shirt adorned with climbing cowboy artwork by Will Gaynor.

Last month, Satisfy Running announced the nomination of a new CEO, Antoine Auvinet, whose career spans Celine, Bally, Harry Winston and Cartier. This follows a string of hires (wholesale manager, head of footwear, CFO), for a brand that aims to grow tenfold in the next five years, after having increased sales five-fold in the past three years.
