Isko introduces Recode denim
05/09/2025
Recode Denim is Isko’s response to anticipating future industry standards and regulations and are designed to support brands in the development of lower impact collections. The scalable range uses only bluesign-approved chemicals, comes with life cycle assessment data, and complies with evolving European Union legislation such as the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR).
In addition to this ground-breaking range, Isko’s autumn/winter 26/27 collection was also on show at Bluezone. High points of the new collection include its Multitouch fabric concept, first introduced for SS 2026. In R&D for five years, this family of fabrics is the result of an innovative yarn and fabric construction, backed by a non-chemical finish that allows crinkling, pleats or embossed effects to keep their shape. “For bell bottoms, the denim fabric could be stiffer at the hem and softer at the hips,” Mirela Slowick, global marketing director Isko, tells Inside Denim. Balloon and barrel jeans could also have more structure, while she says the technology gives designers more creative leeway.
FitWise, another new category, promises zero shrinkage and high elasticity (45%). “This is a smart solution for garment manufacturers who will not need to compensate for shrinkage when taking orders. It improves cost and manufacturing efficiency without sacrificing quality,” says Ms Slowick.
