‘Clear resurgence’ for stretch informs ISKO’s direction

Turkey-headquartered ISKO’s autumn-winter 26 collection includes a rebranding of its recycled content offerings as Recode Denim, which will signpost brands and consumers towards its recycled and regenerative content.

The hangtags with signify the denims contain a mixture of recycled and regenerated fibres. “The recycled content is always over 50% and is GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certified, it could also include viscose, linen, hemp, or organic or regenerative cotton - but no virgin conventional cotton or virgin polyester,” explained Keith O’Brien, global marketing director for ISKO and Re&Up.

The autumn-winter 2026 highlights include FitWise, engineered for lasting structure, comfort and adaptive fit; We’Raw, which has an authentic raw denim aesthetic that resists shrinkage, fading and distortion; and Wondersoft, which combines softness and authentic denim textures using modal and lyocell.

“FitWise is a new weaving technology that can offer different grades of stretch but has really low shrinkage, which offers benefits when garments are made,” explained Mr O’Brien.

“After washing and wearing, WeRaw fabrics will still look raw, the indigo doesn’t fade over time. So, for those who want the new raw look to stay that way, it will remain.”

ISKO Multitouch, introduced in SS26, remains a key fabric concept for the autumn-winter 26/27 season. The fabric offers options such as 3D effects, permanent embossing, vintage-inspired wash-downs and soft or firm hand feels, achieved through finishing processes.

Fabric weights range from 9oz to 15oz, offering versatility and adaptability across seasonal applications.

Fatma Korkmaz, product development manager at ISKO, said: “We’re continuing to merge fashion and function, introducing new updates in finishing and construction that reflect the latest industry trends. We see a clear resurgence in demand for stretch, and have focused on delivering smart, adaptive solutions that meet both performance and aesthetic needs.”

ISKO’s recycled post-consumer content is sourced from sister company Re&Up, which operates plants in Turkey. The company, part of the Sanko Group, is capable of processing diverse textile feedstocks, including polycotton and polyester-elastane. Its facility is powered by 100% renewable energy, and it is planning to expand by adding facilities in Spain or France.
