H&M reveals Glenn Martens collection
The collaboration between H&M and Glenn Martens could be one of the most hotly anticipated this year as the Belgium designer’s reputation has grown considerably since his he became creative director of Diesel in 2020 and is now taking his first steps at the creative helm of Maison Margiela, another OTB-owned brand.

Mr Martens dove into the Swedish retailer’s archives to rework them with his signature twists and turns. Wiring, present in many pieces, will enable wearers to create their own distortions and crumpling.

Many items – the boots and the trompe-l’oeil prints on sheer or opaque fabrics – cue iconic pieces the designer created for now shuttered Paris-based fashion label Y/Project, where he spent 10+ years (from 2013 to 2024). Finally, the range includes a wide array of denims that notably feature his signature faux layering.

“I am always interested in the clothes that we really live in: and the idea of archetypes and wardrobe staples was the starting point for this very special and joyful project with H&M,” commented Glenn Martens.

The collection goes live on October 30.
