Inspiration comes from cars’ bodywork for PG Denim
Paolo Gnutti’s ultra-shiny metallics are made of a laminated fabric and are indicative of the company’s visionary products.
“There are many companies in the market making regular denims, so I try to think outside the box. It’s not easy, because you always have to think of something new,” he told us.
Also in the latest collection, presented at the Bluezone fair in Munich, was another shiny laminated fabric called moon denim and bold, flocked fabrics, including jacquards made with recycled viscose. Heavier versions are on offer for winter 2021-22. “The flocked fabric is versatile, you can make pants or jackets and not just for the denim world. We can add different effects, shades and colours, depending what the clients want.”
Mr Gnutti said the shiny, stripes and flocked styles are the best sellers for spring-summer 2021.
