Lee set to beat initial targets in South Korea

Local media have reported that Barrels, the Seoul-headquartered holder of a licence to distribute Lee-branded denim and fashion articles in South Korea since last year, is set to comfortably exceed its initial sales target of around $11.6 million (13 billion South Korean won).

So much so, reports suggest that this target may even be increased to around $13.5 million (15 billion won).

Barrels said that Lee had thus far exceeded the expectations of the market, but also suggested that the brand has no plans to extend its denim offering beyond 10% of SKUs in the country at present, in order to focus on “lifestyle casual” products.
