Leathergoods acquisition for OTB

Fashion group OTB, owners of Diesel and Jil Sander, has announced the acquisition of a majority stake in Florence-based leathergoods manufacturer Frassineti.

A long-term supplier to Jil Sander, the purchase is seen as a move to strengthen the commitment of “Made in Italy” supply chains and provide OTB with “technological resources and expertise in sustainable innovation”.

“These are the companies, and this is the expertise that power our country, and we have to continue investing in them,” Renzo Rosso, OTB Group’s founder and chair, said in a statement.
